Seasons Greetings from your Conservative
Association Board of Directors:
December is a month for celebration and
reflection. So in addition to wishing
you and your family a safe and wonderful holiday season (whatever holiday you
are celebrating), I wanted to take this opportunity to inform you of some of
the things your Board has been doing over the past few months.
After celebrating a majority victory
nationally, and mourning a heart-breakingly close defeat locally, we turned our
attention to building our profile within the community over the next four
years. To this end we have developed and
approved a five year strategic plan, with actions identified for each year to
bring us to victory in 2015/16!
We
entered the Kingston Santa Clause parade and received a great response from
parade goers. We also entered the Wolfe
Island Santa Clause parade and distributed candy canes to children and adults
alike. We have sponsored drive safe ads
over the holidays on CKWS TV and FM96 so look for our Kingston and the Islands
Conservative Association Messages.
Finally, the Volunteer Appreciation Christmas Reception on December 1st
was a huge success with close to 100 people dropping in to enjoy cider and
munchies.
Your Board has many plans for 2012. The Annual General Meeting is scheduled for
March 5, 2012 at Ongwanada Resource Centre.
All Board appointments are open for nominations and a full report on
Board finances and activities will be given to members at the meeting. Also, look for sponsorships by the Association
in the upcoming War of 1812 celebrations.
In closing, on behalf of your board all the
best for the holidays!
